Return, Exchange and Refund Policy
This Return, Exchange and Refund Policy (the “Policy”) sets out the terms and conditions applicable to all purchases made from Ishtara Jewellery, whether in-store or through the Company’s authorised e-commerce platform. By purchasing any product from Ishtara Jewellery, the Customer is deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out herein.
1. General Provisions
1.1. All requests for exchange, return or trade-in must be supported by the original invoice/tax invoice and the original price tag intact on the jewellery.
1.2. The jewellery must be in its original condition, free from alteration, damage, wear and/or use.
1.3. For e-commerce purchases, the item must also be returned in its original packaging, together with all accessories, certificates, complimentary items, and documents supplied at the time of delivery.
1.4. This Policy applies solely to purchases made directly from Ishtara Jewellery’s authorised retail outlets and e-commerce platform, unless otherwise expressly stated.
2. Exchange Policy
In-store Purchases
2.1. A one-time exchange is permitted provided the item complies with Clause 1 of this Policy.
2.2. Such exchange must be effected within two (2) working days from the date of purchase.
E-Commerce Purchases
2.3. A one-time exchange is permitted provided the item complies with Clause 1 of this Policy.
2.4. Such exchange must be effected within seven (7) working days from the date of delivery.
General
2.5. Where a request for exchange is made after the expiry of the stipulated period, the item shall not be accepted for exchange but may, at the sole discretion of the Company, be accepted as a trade-in under Clause 3.
2.6. All items presented for exchange shall be subject to inspection and Quality Control checks by Ishtara Jewellery prior to approval.
3. Trade-In Policy
3.1. Items not eligible for exchange within the stipulated period may be accepted as a trade-in, subject to inspection.
3.2. All trade-ins shall be subject to a deduction of eighteen per cent (18%) of the prevailing gold price as at the date of the trade-in.
3.3. Custom-made jewellery shall not be eligible for exchange or refund. Such items may only be accepted as a trade-in under Clause 3.2.
4. Non-Exchangeable and Non-Refundable Items
4.1. The following categories of items shall not be eligible for exchange or refund in cash under any circumstances:
(a) Nose pins;
(b) Gemstone jewellery;
(c) Purchases made through the Gold Saving Scheme, Trade-ins, Reservations, and/or eRS.
5. Refunds
5.1. The Company does not offer refunds for change of mind.
5.2. Refunds are only available where:
(a) An item has been delivered in a defective condition; and
(b) The Customer notifies the Company within two (2) working days of receipt of the order.
5.3. Upon approval, refunds will be processed using the original payment method within fourteen (14) working days.
5.4. Delivery charges are non-refundable, save in cases of defective deliveries.
6. Customer Obligations
6.1. Customers are under an obligation, at the point of purchase or delivery, to verify and ensure that:
(a) The weight of the jewellery corresponds accurately to the specifications; and
(b) The jewellery is free from any defects or damages.
6.2. Upon acceptance of delivery or completion of the sale, Ishtara Jewellery shall bear no liability for any subsequent discrepancy in weight or for any defect, damage, or irregularity discovered thereafter.
7. Amendment of Policy
7.1. Ishtara Jewellery expressly reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to amend, vary, modify, or replace the terms of this Policy at any time and without prior notice to the Customer.
7.2. Any amendment, variation, modification, or replacement shall take immediate effect and shall be binding on all subsequent transactions.
8. Governing Law
8.1. This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
8.2. In the event of any dispute, the parties shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
