Sissonne Dance Art is delighted to share that several of our students have been invited to travel to St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia, to audition for full-time professional ballet training at the world-renowned Vaganova Ballet Academy and Bolshoi Ballet Academy.

This invitation was extended following the students’ outstanding performances at the Vaganova Ballet Academy Masterclass in 2025, where they demonstrated exceptional technical ability, artistic potential, and dedication to their craft.

During their time in Russia, the students had the extraordinary opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Russian ballet education. They attended classes conducted by teachers from the Vaganova Ballet Academy across a range of disciplines, including Classical Ballet, Floor Ballet, Character Dance, and Acting.

Beyond the studio, the trip provided invaluable cultural enrichment. Students gained deeper insight into Russia’s rich artistic heritage through interactions with principal dancers from the Mikhailovsky Theatre and visits to some of the country’s most iconic cultural landmarks, including the world-famous Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.

The experience allowed students not only to further their technical development but also to gain a greater appreciation of the artistic and cultural foundations that have shaped generations of world-class ballet dancers.

We are incredibly proud of our students for earning this prestigious opportunity and representing Singapore and Sissonne Dance Art on the international stage.
