OMEGA elastomeric couplings are flexible shaft couplings designed to absorb shock, vibration, and torsional loads while accommodating angular and parallel misalignment. The coupling uses a split elastomer element positioned between two hubs, allowing easy installation and element replacement without moving connected equipment or disturbing alignment.
The elastomer element is bonded to metal inserts, providing secure torque transmission without slip, while remaining torsionally soft to protect motors, gearboxes, bearings, and seals. No lubrication is required, resulting in low maintenance and long service life.
Split-in-half elastomer element for quick replacement
Excellent vibration and shock absorption
Handles angular and parallel misalignment
Radial bolting design for easier access
No lubrication required
Suitable for continuous and cyclic duty
OMEGA couplings are available with different elastomer materials to suit operating conditions:
Standard (Orange)
General-purpose use with high flexibility and misalignment capability
Heavy-Duty (Yellow)
Higher torque capacity and increased torsional stiffness for demanding drives
Hydrolytically Stable (Green)
Designed for hot, humid, or chemically aggressive environments with extended service life
Available in a wide size range to suit light-duty to high-torque applications
Close-coupled and spacer / extended-spacer configurations available
Supports metric and imperial shaft sizes
Hubs available in pilot bore, finished bore with keyway, taper-lock, or bushed designs
Commonly used in pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, conveyors, mixers, and general industrial power transmission systems, especially where vibration control and equipment protection are critical.
