Description

RIVKLE® blind rivet nuts offer versatile solutions for fastening load-bearing nut threads to thin-walled workpieces or hollow profiles. They are very easy to install in single- or multi-layer components without a counterhold (‘blind’). A blind rivet nut has a specific area in the shank that contracts when the setting force is applied and forms a bead. This provides a clamp between the head and the bead and holds the blind rivet nut firmly in the component. The blind rivet nuts are essentially set in four steps. The blind rivet nut is threaded onto the mandrel until it makes contact with the nose piece. The blind rivet nut is then inserted into the hole in the component until the underside of the head lies flat against the component. The blind rivet nut is then compressed according to the specified parameters, forming a clamping bead.
