Ignatius Bong

Ignatius Bong is a renowned electric bass guitarist in Asia, known for his work with top artists such as Leslie Cheung, Stefanie Sun, A-Mei, Andy Lau, and Jacky Cheung. With decades of experience in live concert tours, studio recordings, and jazz-fusion and funk performances, he is a respected figure in both the regional and international music scene.

Trained in the SAF Music & Drama Company, Ignatius has performed with jazz legends including The Manhattan Transfer, Nestor Torres, and Jeremy Monteiro, and has represented Singapore at major cultural events such as the Edinburgh and Paris Arts Festivals.

A former Yamaha-endorsed artist, Ignatius previously served as Deputy Director of Yamaha Asia, where he led music education for all students and teachers, and played a key role in curriculum development and digital transformation.

Through his combined experience as a performer, educator, and workshop facilitator, Ignatius offers a dynamic and professional learning environment geared toward excellence and musical growth.
