The module is designed to train workers on how to use and operate a Vertical Personnel Platform in different work provisions under a safe working environment.

You Will Gain Competency In
- This course will equip trainees with basic skills, knowledge and attitudes to this personal man-lift safely via the following modules:
- Identify hazards and safe routes to be taken for vpp(vertical personnel platform) operations
- Observe and apply safe work practices when preparing to operate vpp(vertical personnel platform)
- Prepare work area for safe operation of the vpp(vertical personnel platform)
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment in accordance with organisational procedures
- Perform pre-use inspection on vpp(vertical personnel platform) , its associated components and safety devices/signage/labels
- Perform function checks on vpp(vertical personnel platform)
- Report all damage and defects according to procedures, and take appropriate action as per organisational procedures
- Apply safe work practices when carrying out vpp(vertical personnel platform) operations
- Maneuver vpp according to operator manual
- Travel the identified route to, from or within the work area
- Operate vpp(vertical personnel platform) in stable position according to operator manual
- Park and Shut down of vpp(vertical personnel platform)
- Carry out routine post-operational vertical personnel platform checks and maintenance according to safe work procedures
- Report all damage and defects according to safe work procedures, and appropriate action is taken.

Prerequisite
- Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:
- Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
- Be able to listen and speak English (for English course)
- Be able to read and write English (for English course)
- Be able to manipulate numbers
- Be medically fit to work at height

Upon fulfilling the course requirements with a minimum attendance rate of 100% and demonstrating proficiency in the assessments, candidates will be awarded:

After 5 years, participants must retake the 1 day course again.
