Course Overview

Supervise Work in Confined Space Operation is one of the core units in all process sectors of the Process Industry. It is mandatory for confined spaces to have a supervisor monitoring the setup, entry and exit of the area. When you attend this course, you will be equipped with the necessary skillset to execute this task.

  • Gain a deep understanding of the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legislation and Codes of Practice. Learn how to effectively oversee confined space operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Identification, Prevention, and Control of Confined Space Hazards: Explore the intricacies of confined space hazards. Learn how to identify potential risks, prevent accidents, and implement effective control measures to create a safer working environment.
  • Confined Space Entry Permit System: Master the Confined Space Entry Permit System using a systematic approach. Understand the requirements, procedures, and documentation needed to safely access confined spaces, all while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Gas Detection Instruments and Control Measures: Get hands-on experience with gas detection instruments and other control measures used in confined spaces. Learn how to interpret readings, respond to alarms, and maintain a safe atmosphere within confined spaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE): Explore the proper use of PPE and RPE when working in confined spaces. Understand the selection, donning, and doffing of protective gear to mitigate risks and safeguard against potential hazards.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Collaborate in the development and implementation of an Emergency Response Plan. Discover how to effectively respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of personnel in confined spaces.
